Extremely good value for nearly 200 litres of space, contemporary black styling
On This Page:
A sleek, black contemporary finish marks out this medium sized chest freezer from Logik - a Currys own-brand range of appliances that are high on specification and low on price.
This is budget model so there is no interior light or lockable lid although two (plastic) baskets are supplied which was a welcome surprise as you often only get one at this price level.
Likes The Outside
It is small enough to be kept in the home, and is also suitable for unheated outbuildings down to -15c thanks to the Winter Security technology.
Get a Handle On It
The recessed handle in the side is a little bit fiddly compared to a proper handle at the front, although with no protrusions it might be easier to position in a tight space.
Safe for use in garages and other unheated outbuildings down to -15 degrees Celsius
Two plastic baskets are supplied, leaving space for you to reach items underneath
Flush handles are a little fiddly but allow flexibility when installing
The clean back allows a flusher fit and reduces dust build-up
The freezer has a drain port located at the front which will make defrosting really easy. Watch out - some freezers will have this port located in an awkward position - or none at all and you will need to bail out the melted ice from inside.
The freezer can keep food safe for up to 20 hours in the event of a power cut, lower than some other rival models but should be perfectly adequate.
If you need a family sized freezer that can just get on with the job and won't break the bank, this one does tick all the boxes. You won't find cheaper for the capacity.
