A popular medium sized freezer from Fridgemaster that comes in a sleek, black finish. This particular model has 198 litres of interior space which is about 10 bags of shopping.

It comes with one wire basket but there are no extras like a lockable lid or interior light. It is also missing a counterbalanced lid so it's a little inconvenient if you've got your hands full packing the shopping away. Fridgemaster MCF198B chest freezer

On the plus side, a front-mounted drain port helps make defrosting easier and the freezer can keep food safe for up to 34 hours in the event of a power cut which is quite impressive.

The best feature is that is has Fridgemaster's Winter Guard technology so it is suitable for outbuildings such as garages, even if the temperature gets as low as -15 degrees Celsius.

Also available in a traditional white version.

This is a capable unit that can often be found at a very good price (it can often be the cheapest freezer in the 200 litre category) so it's worth considering if you can do without the counterbalanced lid.
