The foodsafe time of 38 hours is above average for the size which is peace of mind if you experience even a lengthy powercut.

Less Defrosting

This model utilises Hotpoint's FrostAway technology which claims to reduce frost by up to 55%. It has a special compressor feature that keeps air flowing internally thereby reducing ice formation.

When you do need to defrost though, a front mounted drain port is easily accessible to run off the melted ice without having to move the freezer.

Works Outside?

Our View

This freezer has a good specification for the price with so much space, a light and lockable lid. We're also happy to see two baskets! It's a bit of a shame it cannot be kept outside the house but if you have a decent sized kitchen or utility it's one to consider.

No freezers are currently frost free. Manufacturers recommend defrosting twice a year. Unplug the drain port at the front to let defrosted ice from inside run off into a suitable container.

Fantastic product! Perfect for a large family I have 6 children and sometimes frozen food is the cost effective option to be able to maintain a healthy diet! Absolutely love the lock this is an added bonus for keeping the little blighters from consuming all the goodies before their tea. East to set up & excellent amount of space I’m just enjoying purchasing frozen food and not having to worry about the space it consumes.

My wife, is the expert and she says that this Chest Freezer is very quiet when running and she likes the storage capacity. The interior stays ice free, being a big plus, and the food is kept frozen without being covered with a layer of ice. The hinges are strong and don't squeak when opening like our old one

The freezer was just the right size easily taking all the frozen goods from our old upright freezer with lots of room to spare. It was nice and easy to move and the instructions easy to follow a really good buy.
