Logik is one of Curry's own brands, and produce a variety of household electricals that are high on specification and low on price, usually because they are re-badged versions of other well-known brands.

High Spec

This is the largest model in their range and offers a huge 420 litres of usable storage space - that is about 21 full bags of shopping, so it's ideal for a busy family household.

This freezer has a lockable lid, interior light and the unit is mounted on castors for easy movement. Rather generously, three wire baskets are supplied to help keep the interior nice and organised.

A front mounted drain port helps make defrosting easier, and the freezer can keep food safe for up to 43 hours in the event of a power cut - well above average.

Another plus point is the E rating for energy - most chest freezers, especially of this size are F rated (on the scale of A to G with A being the best).

Doesn't Likes The Outside

Unlike some of the smaller models in the Logik range, this freezer is not suitable for keeping in the garage or outbuilding. We're not sure why they didn't include the WinterGuard technology that allows this, it seems a bit of an omission for such a big freezer.

Our View

Despite the fact that you'll need to house this in the kitchen or utility room, it otherwise has a very high specification and it is very competitively priced against competition from Haier and Beko.

No freezers are currently frost free. The manufacturer recommends defrosting twice a year. Unplug the drain port at the front to let defrosted ice from inside run off into a suitable container.
