In addition to the very generous 249 litres of space available (that's over 13 bags of shopping) there is now a handy LED readout of the current internal temperature - still quite a rarity even on more expensive freezers.
It is slightly more economical than the old model and the food-safe time of 43 hours is pretty good - that's how long it would take food to spoil in the event of a powercut.
Other features include a counterbalanced lid that stays open while you load your shopping in, and an interior light is a helpful touch that a surprising number of similar freezers don't have. There's only one basket supplied though.
The best news is that this new model can be kept in an unheated outbuilding - it has been tested down to -15 degrees Celsius so on par with similar models from other manufacturers.
